Together, HCWP and participating members offer six $1000 scholarships to students who demonstrate an interest in a healthcare career. Two scholarships are given to students in each of HCWP's geographic regions: northwest, southwest and east. For the past 14 years, the Center for Health Careers has been honoring outstanding graduating high school seniors planning post-secondary training in a healthcare field. This year, the Center received 70 nominations from students planning careers in pharmacy, nursing, physician assisting and many other healthcare fields. Students are judged on a number of criteria including nomination letters from school representatives, extra-curricular activities with an emphasis placed on those that are healthcare related, volunteer activities, and academic curriculum. The selection process was very competitive this year making it difficult for our judging committee, but a consensus was reached. This year's winners: Northwest Winners:
